Named repeatedly by RealScreen as one of the top non-scripted production companies in the world, Mission Control Media, Inc. was formed by veteran television producers Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith in 2008 with an eye on producing premium content.  The duo has amassed an impressive array of credits spanning network, cable, syndication and digital outlets while successfully tackling virtually every form of alternative programming including competition-elimination, docuseries, music, live, variety, hidden camera, talk shows and game shows.

Mission Control’s critically-acclaimed series distinguish themselves with a unique vision that includes a strong sense of character, story and style.  Signature projects for the company include the Emmy Award-winning NBC game show Hollywood Game Night featuring Jane Lynch, as well as Face Off, the Critics Choice Award-winning competition about special effects make-up, currently in its 12th season on Syfy.

Recent Mission Control projects include Apple’s first show Planet of the Apps featuring Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Vaynerchuk and will.i.am; Tracks, a music game show produced with Christina Aguilera for Spike; Celebrity Food Fight, an outrageous dinner party game night hosted by Andy Richter for Food Network; Framework, a furniture design and build competition series for Spike hosted by Common, as well as New Year’s Eve Game Night for NBC, Hair Jacked, an ambush game show for truTV, and How To Be a Grown Up, a comedy advice show, also for truTV.

Mission Control has also enjoyed success creating and producing original formats including: Hot Set, a creative competition for Hollywood production designers on Syfy; Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen, an innovative food docu-series on Syfy; Late Night Liars, an outrageous comedy game show on GSN in partnership with The Jim Henson Company; The Big Match, a studio-based dating show hosted by Cat Deeley for Lifetime; and WCG Ultimate Gamer hosted by Hannah Simone, an elimination-style reality series for Syfy and USA which searches for the best all-around video game player in the United States. This groundbreaking project was produced in partnership with Samsung Electronics and involved integration deals with the largest video game studios in the business.

Agbabian and Smith have worked  with a diverse array of networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Syfy, USA, Lifetime, History, MTV, Spike, truTV, GSN, Bravo, Food Network, Oxygen and CMT.  Mission Control Media continues to grow as it actively pursues new ideas with a variety of partners and outlets to produce innovative, cutting-edge entertainment.
